The people who went on this ‘excursion’ must have felt lucky that they even got to see The Babe play (although he went 0-4). The really lucky fans were the ones who caught the game the day before (May 25th) in Pittsburgh when The Babe famously launched his last 3 HR’s. He would officially retire as an active player just days later on June 2nd.
