1957 San Diego Padres Team
From the good ole’ days of the PCL (Pacific Coast League), love those ads on the outfield walls!
I know a bit about it.
The game took place on October 31, 1924. Walter Johnson suited up for the game as well. Walter was in California looking to buy the Oakland Oaks of the PCL (Pacific Coast League). I have a few pictures from that day…I’m not sure if I’ve posted them here before, I know I’ve posted a few at Baseball-Fever.com: Walter Johnson & The Babe - Brea, CA.
Cheers!

1939 Hollywood Stars Team
Not a team of Hollywood actors as the name might imply, just one of the great old teams from the Pacific Coast League. They featured quite a few past/future major league players, see here: 1939 Stars Team Roster.
John Lennon Having a Spot Of Tea
Santa Monica, CA - 1974
Here’s a very rare Polaroid of John taken during his infamous “lost weekend”, which amounted to an 18 month debauchery filled separation from Yoko Ono. He’s looking California cool in his bell bottoms with a tie-string. Goodbye John, gone but never forgotten.

Selected As One Of Ten Happiest Married Couples
USC Football Game - November 1935
The caption for this wire photo certainly isn’t referring to Babe Ruth and his wife Claire, but to former President Hoover and his wife Lou Henry Hoover.
