Babe Ruth Gets Ready To Referee Wrestling
Portland, Maine - April 2, 1945
Here’s a great wire photo of The Babe before his infamous wrestling referee debut in Maine during the spring of 1945. In the pic he’s meeting up with with ex-MLB player, Harry Lord, who actually had some pretty solid years from 1907-15. His last season in ‘15 was spent with the Buffalo Blues of the Federal League.
