1899 St. Louis Perfectos Team
This team was called the Perfectos for only one year. The following season they would become the much more familiar St. Louis Cardinals. Standing all the way to the left is Denton True Young, better known as Cy Young (“Cy” is short for “Cyclone”).

1930’s St. Louis Cardinals Team - Spring Training
While I was looking through my archives I came by this great picture. I’m not 100% sure about the year, but based on the uniforms (jerseys + socks) and the inclusion of Dizzy Dean and Mgr. Gabby Street, it’s very likely to be from 1933.

“Not one single case of throat irritation due to smoking Camels”. Wow, what a load of crap that is! This is definitely one of the more offensive baseball/cigarette ads that I’ve come across.

1926 New York Yankees Team
American League Champions for 1926
From the October 28th, 1926 edition of The Sporting News. One of my favorite Yankees team pics, they look mostly happy and loose (even if they’d go on to lose the World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games.) Great jackets though!
